For this entry transaction, this parameter is used to define whether the translated product description will be:

Hidden:

The field does not appear in the entry screen, but a default value is assigned to it.

Displayed:

The value is assigned to the field and is displayed, but it cannot be modified.

Entered:

A default value is assigned to the field and is displayed, but the value can be modified.

If the product does not exist in the item master table, the description should be entered directly.
