Ergonomics of X3 processes
Introduction
The X3 softwares are organised into functions, each function corresponding to an entry in a menu. These functions present a standardized ergonomics, and follow different templates. The process is one of these templates.
This documentation describes the ergonomics linked to the inquiry whether the Windows™ workstation or Web browser is used. Both ergonomics being very close, there is no different behaviour whatsoever in the interface in this case.
This ergonomic is characterised by:
- the entry of the start criteria in a preliminary window.
- the launch, by a button named according to the specific case OK or Execute.
- the optional display (at the end of the process, which can be long) of a log for the operations carried out.
This type of function is mostly submitted in batch mode (this is more so for Web mode, a maximum execution time of an hour is given for long interactive tasks). Such a process launch is carried out by means of a predefined task.

Entering the process
The entry of the setups is the first operation to be carried out.
Most frequently, when there are several setups to be entered, it is possible to save the criteria entered ( the Memo button) by giving them a code, and to recall an existing memo (the Recall button), or to delete the memo in question (the Del. Memo). If a memo called STD exists, it is automatically loaded on the launch if the function.
Once these setups are entered, the screen validation leads to the function launch. If the function is launched via a request submission, this entry is identical, but the launch causes the display of a message - Request submitted to the server.
In the case where the launch is carried out directly, a box displays a message of the type Execution in process, until the execution is effectively complete.
Display of a log
This display is made exactly as described in the function log file management(except if the choice is made not to display the log file). The action of quitting this log allows the function to finish.
