Prerequisites

The prerequisites depend on the assessment method:

  • By journal entry - Calculation based on the detailed entries
  • By account balance - Calculation based on the account balance

For both assessment methods, the accounts used to post the variances are specified on lines 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the Chart of accounts (GESCOA), when no variance account has been specified for the revalued account. Otherwise, the variance accounts specified on the account lines 1, 2, 3 and 4 are selected among the following values:

  • Debit balance decrease
  • Debit balance increase
  • Credit balance decrease
  • Debit balance increase

For each account, you must select an Assessment method or select the None value.

General parameters

The following general parameters may change the way the function is working :

Accounting

 GAUCNV (defined at level Company) : Conversion variance journal

Authorizations

An authorization can be granted for this function to limit the processes to a company or a site.
