This function is used to search in all the dictionary elements for elements which call a given action. All the dictionary elements which may call an action are tested:

  • the screens
  • the windows
  • the functions
  • the data types
  • the actions themselves (as followingactions)

Entry screen

Presentation

Entry into this function triggers the display of a window in which the search setups are entered.

After this screen is validated, the function covers the corresponding elements of the dictionary (progression bars display for each type of element), then a log file listing the various elements found is displayed.

Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Block number 1

  • Action (field ACT)

The action code being searched for or atemplate for the action code is entered here (for example X*, in order to fins all the elements calling an action starting with X).

Block number 2

  • Screens (field AMK)

If the box is checked, the search is carried out in the corresponding element type.

  • Windows (field AWI)

 

  • Functions (field AFC)

 

  • Data types (field ATY)

 

  • Following actions (field SUI)

Batch task

This function can be run in batch mode, but no dedicated standard task is delivered to run it.

Error messages

The only error messages are the generic ones.
