Common data > General accounting tables > Multi-company period opening

Use this function to open a period for a selected group of companies at one time. It is the same process as opening periods for individual companies but allows you to select a group or range of companies. The process opens all periods for ledgers for all selected companies provided the related fiscal years are open and the periods are created.

A log file details which periods were opened and a reason why if any were not opened.

Ledger types not defined in the LEDTYPAUT - Automatic ledger type parameter (TC chapter, MIS group) are included for selection. Periods for these ledgers are not opened.

This process does not open fiscal years.
