The general parameters of the software package are the values that can be of the type alphanumeric (e.g. a code), numeric (a value), or a label (a choice in a titles list, e.g. Yes or No). These parameters are important, in so far as they make it possible to define the functioning of the software package. According to the case, they are defined : ? by site. This signifies that two sites can have a different parameter value. ? by company. This signifies that two companies can have a different parameter value, but that on the other hand two sites belonging to the same legal company inevitably have the same value for this parameter. ? for the folder. In this case, a single value is possible for all the companies in the folder. When a parameter value normally defined at the site level is not defined at this level, the value is taken from the company level. In the same way, if it is not defined at the company level, it is taken from the folder level (which makes it possible to give values at a general level and to act then by exception).
