It is possible that certain contact can carryout functions within different structures. It is notably in the following profiles : Consultants. Free professions. Part time resources Board members. Etc. For this type of individual, it is essential for the quality of the results of the marketing functions to avoid duplicating the contacts in the database. The "Relation" tab is used for a single individual to describe their different roles within the different BP, sites or companies. For this, the field "Code" has three contextual menus available : Business partner selection : This item is used to associate the contact with a BP. Company selection : This item is used to associate the contact with a company. Site selection : This item is used to associate the contact with a site. To carryout an association, the user MUST IMPERATIVELY USE ONE OF THESE THREE CONTEXTUAL MENUS. If this is not the case, the following message is displayed: "You must use one of the three contextual menus. Entry refused ". In fact, the use of the selection functions represents the only way for the system to automatically determine the relation type established. The relation type is automatically displayed in the first column "Type".
