Field help (FASCAT)

Category and sub-category code of the fixed asset.

• Category : asset's category code (See the Categorydocumentation ).
  As soon as a part of the depreciations have been posted (column Posted loaded in one of the tabs displaying the depreciation grids), this field can only be modified via the Transfer function (See the Asset transferdocumentation).
  
• Sub-category: sub-code of the corresponding category and description assigned to the fixed asset (See the Categorydocumentation).
  This field is used to refine the fixed asset classification within a same category.
  To do the same, after the first depreciation expenses have been posted, this sub-code can only be changed via the Transfer function (see the Asset transferdocumentation).
