Field help (LOTMGTCO1)

The lot management method for the stock receipts and issues depends on both of the product and this transaction setup.

In the stock receipts, the transaction setup intervenes if the Lot management heading of the product is set to the value "According to the transaction".

The values of the transaction setup for the receipts setup are the following:

- Free

The lot number is freely entered by the user. The warehouse locations and the quantities of this lot in the transaction site appear on the screen, if it exists already in stock.

- New lot

The lot number is entered freely by the user, but the program checks that it does not already exist in stock, and at no warehouse site.

- Supplier lot

The lot number cannot be entered. It is initialized by the supplier lot.

- Receipt no. / WO no.

The lot number cannot be entered. It is initialized by the receipt number or by the WO number.

In the stock issues, the lot suggestion method is carried out in priority according to the transaction setup with the following values:

- Free

There is no automatic suggestion of the lots for the issue. The lot is freely selected by the operator.

- FIFO or FEFO all lots

The lots are suggested by order of receipt date (FIFO) or by expiry date (FEFO). There is no control on the expiry date.

- FIFO or FEFO non expired lots

The lots are suggested by order of receipt date (FIFO) or by expiry date (FEFO). The lots whose expiry date is exceeded are not suggested.

- FIFO or FEFO expired lots

The lots are suggested by order of receipt date (FIFO) or by expiry date (FEFO). Only the lots whose expiry date is exceeded are suggested.

- According to Product

The suggestion of the lots for the issue is no longer managed by the transaction, but depends on the product Destocking method field. The suggestion of the lots will therefore vary according to the product in a single transaction.
