Field help (RCPLOCTYP)

The location type is used to filter and control the warehouse addressed of the products in the stock movement entries, according to the setup of the transactions.

The location types are created with 3 alphanumeric characters in the location types table.

A product can access a single location type or even several location types achieved by using a wildcard character "*".

For instance:

A12: the product can only access locations of the type A12

A*: The product can access locations which type starts with "A"

The wildcard character is a prefix: it cannot be followed by other characters.

The two types of receipt and storage locations can be used in the stock movements according to the transaction setup.
