The location types can have available several put-away methods such as:
Dedicated single racks.
Dedicated multiple racks.
The dedicated location types are used to manage the fixed warehouse addresses. a product is always stored in the same identified rack.
The location assignment tab is available only for these dedicated types, in order to link the products to the locations.
The occupation of the location is not managed in these put-away methods. The "proposition order", "release management", "time delay" fields as well as the unit table are not significant for these put-away methods.
The "single rack" type imposes that a product has only one available warehouse address. During the receipt to stock, the address for the product is automatically assigned.
The "multiple rack" type is used to define several fixed warehouse addresses for a single product.
During the receipt to stock, a window proposes the list of fixed addresses set up for the product.
Dynamic single product.
Dynamic multi-product.
The "Dynamic" location types are used to store the product in any rack, on the condition that it is available.
In this case, the program manages the allocation of locations according to defined characteristics: Proposition order,
. Release management,
. Time delay,
. Authorized statuses,
. Units,
and only proposes the locations available in the selection window.
The multi-product location can accept several products simultaneously, while the single product location can only accept a single product at a time.
Unlimited put-away.
These location types serve to manage locations without maximum capacity and which are not dedicated to any particular products. receipt area, quality control location, bulk storage for example.
Stock at the Business partner. This type of location is used to create warehouse addresses located at the customers.
Sub-contractor stock. This type of location is used to create warehouse addresses located at the suppliers.
