The nature of the payment identifies the bank file formats that can be generated by the payment transaction. According to the bank establishment or the national/international character of the payment, the file format is different. The nature of the payment is used to associate a payment transaction, a group of possible of bank files.

This field is mandatory if the transaction generates a bank file.
