Type in, or select the code of the replacement or substitute component.

The new component is given the same sequence number in the bill of materials (BOM) as the component being replaced. If the component already exists at the same sequence number the sequence number is incremented. The validity start date for the new component will be the date defined as the Application date; the end date will be that of the original component.

You must choose a component that is not version-managed.
