General parameters > Chapter Common Data > Parameter MIGGCM (Account core model)

This parameter is used to determine the accounting template (unique ledger or multi-ledger) to apply during a migration process. It must be entered in the Sage X3 folder.
This accounting template is applied to the folder in the process of validation and is located in the copy folder indicated in the folder record before validation.

Specifications

During migration towards a unique ledger template and for an entry line relating to the general account and the nature, only the general account is taken into account and becomes the general and analytical account in the V6 folder.
Limit: consequently, purely analytical entries are not taken into account and are not migrated to version 6.

Control during migration of the folder
  • If the accounting template to apply is not indicated at this parameter level, a blocking error message appears in the V6 environment during validation of the V5 folder.
  • If the accounting template to apply is mentioned at the level of this parameter, a message requests a confirmation of the choice of the accounting template.
"Migration template kept XXX (of LEG=ZZZ) - Reference legislation of our folder ZZZ/AAA"*.
Continue or cancel if the accounting template kept is not the correct one.

    * AAA being a legislation different from ZZZ.
Operating example
  • Let us consider a V5 folder without IAS, the migration can be carried out towards an accounting template with a unique, general or analytical ledger or towards a multi-ledger accounting template including a general ledger and an analytical ledger, both distinct.
  • Let us consider a V5 folder managing the IAS entries, the same rules apply and both accounting templates (unique ledger or multi-ledger) include an IAS ledger (general and analytical).

SEEWARNING If several Sage X3 folders of different legislation are to be successively migrated to the same environment, before proceeding to the next migration, the parameter must be initialized with the template linked to the proper legislation.
