Use this template to import time entry data from any third party product into Sage X3. 

Imported data is stored in the PJMTIMEMPI - Time summary table before then being imported as new, or into existing time entry records.

The PJMTIMEMPI - Time summary table is cleared after each import.

Prerequisites

Set the Field delimiter field (FLDLIM) to double quotes (") - field separators must be defined in the import file using double quotes.

Mandatory fields in the template

The mandatory fields are as follows:

  • Employee (CLB)
  • Project (OPPNUM)
  • Sequence (PTESEQ)
  • Budget code (PBUCOD) if the Task code (TASCOD) is empty.
  • Time spent (PTEQTY)

Additional time entry fields (Time category, Operation, Task number) must be set up as required in the PJMTIMEMPI table to manage imported records.

If the combination of Employee (CLB) + Sequence number (PTESEQ) + Date (PTEDAT) in the imported data matches an existing time entry record the existing time entry line will be updated. Otherwise a new time entry record is created.

Error messages

The only error messages are the generic ones.
