What s new in patch 2

The new features delivered in patch 2 are listed below:

Keyboard shortcuts

Additional shortcuts are now available:
* The arrow keys are used in lookup windows.
* The behavior of 'Enter' is dependent on the field.
* The arrow keys are used in left list.
* Insert/Delete is available for grid lines.
* The 'Escape' key closes a lookup.
* The 'Enter' key selects a value for the lookup or combo-box.

Graphical request designer (GESALT)

You can now create a new query with a graphical wizard in Classic mode.

Formula wizard

The formula wizard facilitates the creation of calculation formulas is now available in Classic mode.

Selection of a printer

You can now select and configure all the printers which are provided by the print server.

Local search in a tabular data in Classic mode

In Classic mode, you can now search all data from a grid by clicking the magnifying glass above the grid even if the data is paged and not visible.

Online translation

If a text field contains translatable text, the translations can be managed by clicking field actions in Version 7 native mode.

Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2013

The MS Office integration is now working with MS Office 2013.

Mobile client evolution

Many evolutions have been delivered on the mobile client:

• You can now go back anytime in the product.
• The right panel icon is automatically hidden if no content is present on the panel.
• Error messages are displayed in a full page and in descriptive text.
• The offline and online management functions as follows:
  • Drafts are managed in offline mode.
  • The color changes in online state.
  • Lookups are available in offline mode, but only for favorites.
• You can now see the page number and easily navigate.
• A visual indicator shows the current sort and the ability to easily change it.
• The 'Search-in-my-list' function allows you to make a search while online.
• Direct Actions on multiple lines from a query are available such as Delete, Validate, Reject, and so forth.
• Google Maps' integration allows you to see the customer’s address on a map.
• You can now display a gauge from data sources on the server.

Tablet client evolution

Many evolutions have been delivered on the tablet client:

• The icons and buttons are now bigger to fit the tablet format.
• Irrelevant links such as Authoring, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint have been removed.
• The Left/Right panels collapsed by default with grip texture to open it.
• Exit icons in field have been added to easily tap on.
• Previous/next recognition is available.
• A 'Restore' button is available, which replaces the 'Escape' key that does not exist on tablets.
• The numeric keyboard displays automatically for numeric fields.
• The charts are displayed with restricted actions (no zoom, download or tool tips).
• A message warns users that Flash component cannot be displayed.
• You can set your preferred language from the setting page.
