This document describes the minimum configuration requirements to install the application and/or data servers on a Microsoft Windows server with Oracle 11g R2 database.
Category | Configuration requirements |
---|
Operating system | - Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012 x64.
|
Server | - 100 percent compatible PC.
- Intel Xeon Quad Core X5570 2.93GHz processor or more required to sustain up to 50 concurrent users in a mono-tier architecture.
- 1 additional core recommended for every 40 sessions.
|
RAM | - 2 GB for the OS, 2 to 6 GB per database instance, 60 MB per connected user.
|
Disk space | - For oracle 11g: 5 GB.
- For Sage X3 People (reference folder and software): 4 GB.
- For the demonstration folder (SEED): 4 GB.
- For the exploitation folder: Depends on the data managed. A sizing tool is available to calculate the size requirements.
|
Database software | - Oracle 11g (64-bit) Version 11.2.0.4
- It is necessary to set up a listener.
- If a sqlnet.ora file has been defined for the listener, verify that the SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES parameter value is set to NONE.
- The NTS value is not supported.
|
Mail server | - The workflow engine used in Classic mode requires a SMTP/POP3 server accessible from the server.
|
Publication server | - An Apache server (latest build of version 2.2) must be installed on the application server.
|
User accounts | - Installing Oracle 11g requires a user account that has administrator rights.
- This user account can also be used for the software.
- It is strongly recommended that a domain user is chosen.
- This user has to satisfy the following obligations:
- Be able to access and modify the Oracle 11g folder.
- Open a session as a service.
- It is recommended to use a domain user account belonging to the local administrators group.
- In addition, for the actual software users, it is recommended to define a user group and assign the access to the different software folders after installing the software components.
|
Others | - A SAFE X3 ADMIN administration engine must be installed on the server.
- A JDK or java runtime environment (version 7 or later) must be installed.
