Upper bar

When a page is displayed, most of the page is used by the application content. The "shell" that provides access to the version 7 pages function consists of a single bar that looks similar to the following:

Functions available from the upper bar

This bar provides access to different functions:

• The "question mark" icon provides access to the Help pages.
• The "tool" icon provides access to the personalization mode.
• The "user" icon (or the user's picture if available) provides access to the user preference panel.
• The "exit" icon disconnects the user and returns the user to the initial page. Take care that this icon closes all the sessions opened for the user on the server for the same browser (this "single sign out" is a consequence of the single sign on procedure).
• The "home" icon returns the user to the last displayed landing or home page.
• The "compass" icon returns the user to the navigation page associated with the role.
• The Search text box provides access to search functions.
• The "star" icon allows the user to bookmark the current page as a favorite page.
• The link following the "star" icon displays favorites. If the space taken by the links exceeds the available space, a "more" link appears to display additional favorites.
• The "chevron" icon, next to the "star" icon, allows users to reorganize the favorites list.

Just under the bar, the current role and endpoints are displayed.

Landing and menu page header

When displaying a landing or menu page, the page area located under the upper bar displays important information, and is similar to the following:

For landing pages, three edit icons are available if the user is the owner of the landing page. This allows the user to add vignettes, edit the landing page, and refresh it.

Breadcrumb

On every page associated to a function, a breadcrumb displays the path of the function from the default home page of the user. This path is displayed independently of the way the navigation was done to come to this page. For instance, if you went to a given page by a "jump to" link (also called "tunnel"), the breadcrumb will no more mention the page from were you come, even if an End button (in classic page mode) would bring you to the origin function.
