Title translations

In Adonix sotware, some fields (titles) may be defined as multilingual.

For users, translatable text is the same as standard one, but it is regarded as entered in the default connection language.

If users want to translate this text, they need to right-click to access the Online translations function.

Fields

The following fields are included in this window :

Define the language in which a text is expressed.

This text associated with the original record and with the language, can be used in the reports.

This window enables the specification of a title translated by language in a table. The texts with translations into current languages are displayed.

From a technical point of view, text management involves:

using dedicated data types (for which codes start with AX)
storing the texts in a dedicated table of the dictionary (ATEXTRA table) The key table is a key in four parts: language, table code, field code and record key.
