This table is used to define the Shipping Unit (SU) types that will be used to palletize the shipping parcels.

The number of shipping units and their codification are left totally free.

    Screen management

    To create a shipping unit, assign a 2-character code acting as a unique identifier to the SU and enter its characteristics.

    Presentation

    Enter the size and weight information in this screen.

    During the palletization process, sizes and weights can be changed. For sizes, select the "Changeable" check box against the item you want to amend. For weights, set up the "Key in real SU weight" parameter in the Packaging tab of the Output configurations.

    Fields

    The following fields are present on this tab :

    Block number 1

    • SU type (field SHU)

    Type of SU on which the parcel must be palletized.

    • Description (field SHUDESAXX)

     

    • Short description (field SHUSHOAXX)

     

    • Active (field FLGENA)

    Select or clear this check box to respectively enable or disable the Sort code.

    • If the check box is selected: you can apply the Sort code to a wave or preparation area.
    • If the check box is cleared: you cannot use the Sort code. If you try to use it, you will receive an error message explaining that the code cannot be used.

    Dimensions

    • Height (field HEI)

    Vertical dimension of an entity. Mandatory. Two digits after the comma

    • field HEISYM

     

    • Changeable (field HEIUPD)

    Specifies whether the entity height can be modified or not.

    • Width (field WID)

    Dimension of an entity along its shortest side (perpendicular to the depth). Mandatory. Two digits after the comma

    • field WIDSYM

     

    • Changeable (field WIDUPD)

    Specifies if the entity width can be modified or not.

    • Depth (field DTH)

    Dimension of an entity along its longest side (perpendicular to the width). Mandatory. Two digits after the comma

    • Changeable (field DTHUPD)

    Specifies whether the entity depth can be modified or not.

    • Volume (field VOL)

     

    • field VOLSYM

     

    • Useful volume (field USBVOL)

    Usable volume of an SU type.

    • field USBSYM

     

    • Surface equivalent (field SUREQV)

    Surface equivalent of the basis of the considered SU, enabling the number of SUs of a perpalletization PO to be limited in a Preparation Area.

    Weight

    • Maximum weight (field MAXWEI)

    Maximum weight.

    • field MAXWEISYM

     

    • SU tare (field TAR)

    Represents the mass of an empty entity.

    • field TARSYM
