Field help (ABIDBAN)

The IBAN is an internationally agreed standard of identifying bank accounts in a structured format.
IBAN can be used in national and/or international payment transactions (country-specific).
The IBAN code consists of: 

• A 4-digit IBAN prefix composed of:
  - a country code (2 letters),
  - two check digits
  This prefix is displayed. It is calculated automatically upon the bank account information entered in the Bank ID field.
• the bank account information (country specific, up to 30 characters).

 Not all countries support IBAN. The usage of the IBAN format for bank accounts is controlled by the option IBAN management in the Country settings.
