The net quantity mentions the quantity of hazardous material of a product container: Hazardous material qty = (gross weight product container - tare product container)/density

Depending on the hazardous material product type ("Solid", "Liquid"), the net quantity specifies:

• the hazardous material weight for a "solid" product (referred unit of type "Masse/Weight")
• the hazardous material volume for a "liquid" product (referred unit of type "Volume")
