[logoGX.jpg]Postal codes ______________________________________________________________________IntroductionThroughout the software, it is possible on address input to automatically see the postal code displayed from the entry of the town or vice-versa (when several postal codes are associated with a town or vice-versa, a selection window needs to be used). This function is based on the postal code table defined herewith.Furthermore it is possible to carry out a control based on this table, by warning the user when the town or the postal code are unknown. This control can be performed only on the default country or on all the countries. ______________________________________________________________________PrerequisitesThe following steps need to be carried out beforehand: if needed, fill the [1]country table, check the value of the default country code provided by the [2]CRYDEF parameter (entered in the parameters of the [3]folder upon its creation, but which can be modified afterwards), as well as the values of the [4]CTY, [5]POSCOD, and [6]POSCODCPY parameters that determine the way in which the postal codes are controlled. ______________________________________________________________________Operating modeEntry of the postal code is carried out on a single tab. The country, postal code and a town code are defined in this tab. None of these codes forms a unique table key. It should be noted that the country is only entered if the multi-country postal code control is activated (otherwise, the country is automatically assigned the default country). ______________________________________________________________________Error messagesNo error message ______________________________________________________________________Tables usedTableTable TitlePOSCOD [POS]Postal code table[copyright.GIF]References1. file://localhost/h:/FRA/fct/GESTCY.htm 2. file://localhost/h:/FRA/obj/ADP_SUP_CRYDEF.htm 3. file://localhost/h:/FRA/fct/GESADS.htm 4. file://localhost/h:/FRA/obj/ADP_TC_CTY.htm 5. file://localhost/h:/FRA/obj/ADP_TC_POSCOD.htm 6. file://localhost/h:/FRA/obj/ADP_TC_POSCODCPY.htm
