Description

User-friendly description of the group.

Factory

This check box defines if the record is supplied as a factory record. When this happens, a factory code is also displayed and can be entered if you are a factory provider. This features allows to prevent some modifications on records supplied by defaut by Sage or by a vertical solution provider. More information about this feature is given in the following document.

ADMINISTRATION

This section includes the following:

Role

The role a group is associated with. This field is not mandatory.

Users

List of users belonging to this group. Several users can be members of a group (the selection window allows multiple selection). A user can also be a member of several groups.

Endpoints

List of endpoints a group can use. Several endpoints can be accessed by a group (the selection window allows multiple selection). An endpoint can also be accessed by several groups.

Tags

List of tags, separated by a comma, a group carries. Tags are especially used to define on which runtime a user belonging to the group can connect to when using an endpoint in a solution. For this, the same tag should be defined in the Sage X3 Warehousing solution's runtime.

Default X3 endpoint

This field is not mandatory. It defines the endpoint used by default when a lookup on a table requires an endpoint that is given. For example, if you create a menu item on an X3 function without entering an endpoint, the selection lookup will use this endpoint.

EXPLORER

This widget presents the links between a user and different entities the group is linked to. The group is represented as a central circle with its name.

For more information about the link explorer, see UI Definition Link Explorer.
