Manufacturing > Analyses > Production analysis

The purpose of this function is to launch a production analysis between an analysis start date and an analysis end date along two possible axes:

  • A resource axis (analysis at work center and work center group level)
  • A product axis (analysis at work order level)

It is possible to select an analysis along one of the two axes or the two axes simultaneously.

The analysis can be carried out for a list of production sites.

This function does not generate any print directly but it loads the tables that will be subsequently used for the print-outs.

Analysis axes

The purpose here is to select along which axes (resources, products, or both) an analysis should be carried out.

Analyses along the resource axis

The axis of analysis deals with all the work orders that have been the subject of at least one tracking.

The analysis based on the resource axis scrutinizes each work center and calculates:

  • The use of each work center, i.e. the ratio between the planned times and the achieved times for each work center.
  • The yield of each work center, i.e. the ratio between the planned times and the achieved times.

Analyses along the Product axis

This axis of analysis deals with all the work orders that have been closed.

The analysis based on the product axis scrutinizes each product and generates data according to several criteria:

  • Delay analysis: Comparison between the calculated end date (last automatic scheduling before tracking) of the work order and the first entry date (date upon which the first production reporting has been carried out).
  • Lead time analysis: Comparison of the production lead times (product site record/lead time calculated by the last automatic scheduling/achieved lead time).
  • Time analysis: Comparison of the load times (defined in the routing standard operations, defined in the work order, entered in the operation tracking of the work order)
  • Operating yield
  • On the quantity: Comparison between the achieved quantities and the rejected quantities at the level of each operation
  • On the time: Comparison between the achieved time and the effective time
  • Material yield: Comparison between the components used with respect to the effective planned use

Analysis along two axes.

The production analysis is carried out in that case along the two axes

Analysis period

The period proposed by default corresponds to the month preceding the processing date. This range is used to determine the orders that will be analyzed.

It is important to note that the results of the analysis carried out on the period from 01/01/00 to 31/01/00 remain available for printing as long as another analysis with an end date on the 31/01/00 has not been started (the same end date)

Site table

This table is used to select the production sites that should be the subject of an analysis.

The site shown by default corresponds to the site associated with the user.

Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Analysis dimension

  • field PRO

Selection of the type of analysis to be carried out.
- the resource axis is an analysis on work centers and work center groups.
- The product axis is an analysis on work orders.

Analysis period

  • Period start (field PERSTR)

Processing period start date.

  • Period end (field PEREND)

This field contains the processing period end date.

Grid Site list

Enter or select the storage site where the selected product is active.

The Selection icon (magnifying glass) only suggests products that are referenced in the products-sites table.

Batch task

This function can be run in batch mode. The standard task FUNANL is provided for that purpose.

Error messages

In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :

Site name: Not a production site:

This message appears when the specified site is not a production site

Mandatory field

This message appears when no information is entered in the site field.
