Costing > Production costs > WIP cost without WO

This function is used to complete the WIP generated by tracking operations without WO.

As a reminder, here is how the amounts of the tracking operations without WO are assigned to fictitious WOs (only used for regrouping fro the system):

  • The amounts of the tracking operations on BOMs (material consumption, production reporting, item overheads) are assigned to a WO by period.
  • The amounts of the tracking operations on routing times (operation cnsumptions, operation overheads) are assigned to a WO by period.
  • The amounts of the tracking operations on miscellaneous times (tracking plan of miscellaneous times creating operation consumptions and overheads) are assigned to a WO by period and by work center.

The "Tracking without WO balance" function is used, for a defined period of time specified in the header, to close the WIP and thus to enter to accounting the amount difference between consumptions and productions.

Upon validation of the WIP balance by means of the OK button, the system draws the distinction between the consumptions (materials, operations, overheads...) and the production reportings, and then it generates a type-18 record in the WIPCOST table in order to be able to post this WIP balance.
