General parameters > Chapter Manufacturing > Parameter GTPSCOMP (Slack time compression)

During the Load calculation, it is possible for the system to compress certain time outside of the planned load in the routings (preparation time, waiting time, post operation time).

The GTPSCOMP parameter is used to set which times not included in the load for a routing it is possible to compress. The possible choices are:

 None

Waiting: compression of the wait time only, which is the time situated after the operation time for each operation in the routing.

Preparation + post operation: compression of the preparation time, which is non load time positioned before the operation time in the routing and the post operation time, positioned after the operation time and which runs in parallel to the waiting time.

All the dead times: compression of the preparation time, waiting time and post operation time.

The compression percentage applied is either the rate specified at the level of the GPERCOMP parameter, in the functions where the compression percentage is not accessible (MRP with load calculation, releases via the planning tools (Enterprise Workbench, Product Workbench, Company Site Grouping) where the release transaction includes a load calculation, or the rate specified at the time of the release in the Work Order management function.

Level of localization / Global variable

This parameter is defined at the level Site.It belongs to Chapter GPA (Manufacturing) and the Group LOA (Scheduling/Load),The following parameters are also associated with this chapter and group :

The global variable GTPSCOMP is associated with it.

Functions concerned

The following functions are associated with this parameter :

Manufacturing > Planning > MPS processing

Stock > Reorders > MRP processing

Manufacturing > Planning > MRP processing

 Manufacturing > Planning > Multi-level planning

This parameter is used by the following functions:

Release from the Enterprise Workbench, Product Workbench and Company Site Grouping functions, when the automatic release transaction used included a load calculation.

MRP processing, when a load calculation is included in the parameterization.

Work Order management, as a default value, modifiable upon each release.
