General parameters > Chapter Supervisor > Parameter CHGDAT (Date change allowed) 

Set this parameter to Yes to allow the user to change the current date using the Date change function. By default, it is the date of the connection to X3.

The connection date is usually the current date. If the current date is not in the opening period, the nearest date that meets this criteria is used.
