This parameter is used to define the manner in which certain complex operations (re-synchronizations, financial year end) lock the operation of Sage X3. It can take one of three values:

• mono user: in this case, the launch of the utility can only happen if no other person is connected to the folder. Once the utility is launched, no more connections are possible until the moment the execution is terminated.
• mono-module: in this case the locking prohibits any launch of a function belonging to the same functional module. For instance, for the accounting, this implies the locking of all other accounting operations, but also the locking of the invoice validations, depreciation charges, stock accounting interface (all these elements update the accounting and for this reason are locked).
• no locking: in this case, it is assumed that the user allows themselves all the functions but also makes sure themselves that there will be no conflict.
  This option must not be used in a live folder since it can lead to coherence problems. It can however be used in a folder under development, on the condition that the user accepts the possible consequences in case of conflict.
