The information is split across two sections :

Identification

 Barcode

* The registration barcode for the asset is automatically assigned during the validation of the asset creation and cannot be entered if the following conditions are met :

- The BACAUTNUM parameter (Automatic barcode) is set to Yes.

- The asset family authorises the automatic assignment of a barcode ( CAB (Barcode) management and CAB set to Yes for this family at the level of the parameterisation of miscellaneous table 411).

- A sequence number counter has been parameterised and assigned to the field Barcodes from the Fixed asset module (Sequence number counters and Sequence number counter assignment).

When the barcode is automatically assigned, two additional parameters are used so that :
- To define the level of uniqueness of the generated code : Company level or Folder level. To transfer to the parameter CPYBACUNY.
- Also to specify, when the uniqueness is applied at the level of the Company, if the company code must or must not by an integral part of the barcode generated. To transfer to the parameter BACDELCPY.

* The registration barcode for the asset can be manually entered by the user when the parameter BACAUTNUM has the value No ; the control on the uniqueness level for the entered code (company or folder) is a function of the value of the parameter CPYBACUNY.

* The maximum length of the barcode is determined by the parameter FMTCABFAS.

 Serial number

It can be entered or be loaded by the asset count process.

Asset count return

This information, with the exception of the Actual status of the asset cannot be entered. It is only loaded by the last asset count process.
