This function is used to define the template document (Word, Excel or PowerPoint) that will be used in the quotes based on the company and transaction used.

The Template can be common to all the quotes, a company or a transaction. If the template code is the only field to be entered, then this template will be applied to all the quotes. It is possible to refine the setup be entering the company or transaction code.

In quote entry, if several templates are possible, the user has to select the one they want to apply.

To combine an Office document and a template code, the document should be opened in the window at the bottom of the screen and then saved.

The "WORD" and "EXCEL" templates are supplied as standard. They contain macros to interactively load the Word or Excel documents with the information available in the X3 quote. These templates, supplied as examples, run with Office 2003 provided the macro safety level is set to"low" and the box "Trust the Visual Basic project" is checked.
