Field help (GASRVS2)

Use this field to indicate whether or not a journal needs to be reversed:

• No: The journal does not need to be reversed.
• Yes: The journal reversal  is automatically launched and generated. The accounting journal can then be selected for mass reversal on the indicated reversal date.

If the journal has already been reversed, the Reversal and Reversal date fields are no longer accessible.

To completely reverse a journal

Select the journal. In the Action panel under the Zoom menu, select Reversal. In the Reversible parameters screen, you can select Debit/Credit or Negative amount and enter a Description and a Reversal date, which is mandatory.

Setup changes are not archived.The journal uses the setup effective at the time of the reversal and not the setup of the original journal. For example, if a distribution key is modified.
