Business objects administration space

To enable using Business Intelligence functionalities that are available for Sage X3 solutions, configure the Business Objects environment corresponding to the server where Business Intelligence data, reports, and other dashboard components are stored. Then, grant access using dedicated BO profiles that will be included in the roles of authorized users.

The configuration of the Business Objects environment in Version 7 consists of five steps to be fulfilled in the following order:

  1. Create the Business Objects Server(s)
  2. Associate each Business Objects Server to the host server of the corresponding Sage X3 solution
  3. Create the Business Objects profile(s) related to each BO server
  4. Check the Business Objects profile settings
  5. Associate Business Objects profiles to users’ roles

Note that:

  1. You can associate many BO profiles to a single users’ role.
  2. As every BO profile points to a single BO server, then a users’ role is linked to several BO servers using different BO profiles.

Consequently, each BO server or BO profile cannot be associated more than once to a user's role.
