File integration
File-based imports and exports are a traditional alternative to web-services. Many existing integration scenarios are handled via imports and exports.
The SAFE X3 platform provides a comprehensive infrastructure to suppport file imports and exports. Import and export models are defined in dictionaries and can be reused in various processes.
This integration technique has been used extensively in the past and continues to be available on-premise.
File based integration is not possible in the Online deployment of the SAFE X3 platform because the application does not expose its file system and cannot access external file systems.
