General parameters > Chapter Supervisor > Parameter DEVCRY (Report development)

This parameter is used to define if a user is likely to pass to Report developer mode. This mode is activated only in client/server, from the Tools menu accessible from the main menu. If the DEVCRY parameter is set to No, the Report developer choice is greyed out and cannot be selected. If this parameter is set to Yes, there is the possibility to select or de-select this mode (it appears checked or un-checked in the menu).

In this mode, the reports are no longer systematically loaded from the server to the client workstation, which allows them to be modified, then to test them in local execution mode before resending them to the server once the modification is carried out.

Level of localization / Global variable

The parameter is defined at the level User.Belongs to Module SUP (Supervisor) and to Group DEV (Development),in which the following parameters can also be found :

The global variable GDEVCRY is associated to it.

Functions concerned

The execution of the reports in client-server mode is affected by this parameter.

Comments

This mode did not exist in version 130. In version 140, unlike version 130, and for security reasons, all reports executed in client-server mode are systematically loaded beforehand, except when in Report developer mode.
