Outputs > Parcel > Upd carrier parcel

This function allows the recalculation of the carrier parcel numbers (associated to each not delivered parcels) when a change in the couple carrier/carriage mode is done on the DO.

These changes might happen on the screens « Delivery orders », « Round management », « Carrier calculation » and Auto carrier calculation ».  For information, in these screens a message will alert you, if the need arises, the necessity to use this function to keep the coherence of the carrier parcel..

Screen management

The screen is made up of a single tab containing the selection criteria of the parcels.

Entry screen

Presentation

The criteria to be keyed in (not compulsory) are :

Carrier . The carrier code.

Carriage mode. The carriage mode.

Round n°. The round number.

DO n°. The DO number.

Reference. The DO number reference.

Upd reported parcels. If the box is ticked, the reported parcels will be updated. If not ticked, they will be excluded in the update.

Simulation. If the box is ticked, the update process will be simulated. If not, the update will be directly carried out with out any possibility of return

The process

The function selects the Warehousing parcels if:

-          the parcel belongs to a DO responding to the criteria keyed in above.

-          the parcel is not yet shipped (status different to 9-Shipped).

-          the parcel has a carrier/carriage mode different from the DO.

In this case, the system updates the parcel with the new carrier parcel number, the carrier and the carriage mode.

Note: the calculation of the carrier parcel number depends on the setting-up of the « Carrier parcel ». If not setting-up exists for the couple carrier/carriage mode, the system will use by the default the Warehousing parcel number.
