The Carrier priority table is used to determine the assignment criteria of a pair (carrier, transport method) to the Delivery Orders via the Carrier Calculation function (PINCRR).

The table is viewed with respect to the sequence no. and the algorithm stops as soon as a record has been found. This is the reason why it is important to enter the records from the most restrictive to the widest.

In any case, it is advisable to determine a pair (carrier, lot) that will the most "permissive" possible.

    Screen management

    The entry is carried out from a couple (carrier, transport method) from 2 tabs.

    It must be conducted in the order of priority of the carriers.

    It is recommanded to create a record without restriction.

    Presentation

    the header specifies the triplet (sequence no., carrier code, transmport method) to which the carrier priorities are attached.

    Fields

    The following fields are present on this tab :

    • Sequence (field ORN)

    Number making it possible to use the rules defined in this screen

    by order of priority.

    • Description (field CRODESAXX)

     

    Code identifying the carrier. This code must be defined in the carrier table.

    Usually, the transport mode corresponds to the notions of messaging, freight, express,... The transport mode is checked against the transport modes table.

    Tab General

    Presentation

    Country: optional, if entered, the search is carried out taking this criterion into account; otherwise the carrier can be selected irrespective of the DO country.

    Postal code/Town/City: optional, if entered, the search is carried out taking this criterion into account; otherwise the carrier can be selected irrespective of the DO postal code/town/city.

    Delivery field: optional, if entered, the search is carried out taking this criterion into account; otherwise the carrier can be selected irrespective of the value of the delivery field.

    Weight: optional, if entered, the DO weight must be less than or equal to the weight mentioned for the pair (carrier/transport method).

    Volume: optional, if entered, the DO volume must be less than or equal to the volume mentioned for the pair (carrier/transport method).

    Product length: optional, if entered, the most important length of the DO lines weight must be less than or equal to the volume mentioned for the pair (carrier/transport method).

    Tariff area

    Country code of the ship-to customer.

    Country description of the ship-to customer.

    • Postal code (field POS)

    Postal code of the ship-to customer.

    • City (field CTY)

    Ship-to customer's town.

    • County (field SAT)

    Ship-to customer status.

    • Delivery area (field DLVARE)

    Delivery field of the ship-to customer.

    Grid Forbidden post code

    • Postal code (field FBDPOS)

    List of the postal codes prohibited for the pair (carrier/transport method).

    Maximum per DO

    • Weight (field MAXWEI)

    Maximum weight.

    • field WEIUOS

     

    • Volume (field MAXVOL)

    Maximum volume.

    • field VOLUOS

     

    • Length (field MAXDIM)

    Optional. If entered, the most important length of the DO lines must be less than or equal to the volume mentioned for the pair (carrier/transport method).

    Error messages

    In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :

    The filter has intercepted a later sequence (Carrier/mode sequence no. XX)

    There already is a sequence with the same criteria or the criteria are not sorted from the most restrictive to the widest.
