Units of Measure

• Unit (field UOM)

Define a unit that can be used to characterize the quantities. As a function of the chosen unit, the corresponding quantity can be rounded on a given number of decimals.

• Description (field UOMDES)

Define the title associated with the unit. This title can be translated into other languages.

In translatable fields such as this one, you can enter a description in a language other than the connection language: Click On line translations from the Actions menu.

• Dec. (field UOMDEC)

This field is used to parameterize the display format for the quantities expressed in this unit and the rounding method for the quantities in the calculations. Its value is comprised between 0 (no decimals, integer unit) and 6.

For example, for a unit with 2 decimals the display format will be 9.2 and the quantity will be rounded to 0.01.

• Unit type (field UOMTYP)

This field is used to characterize the unit : Length, Area, Volume, Mass/Weight, Packing, Time, Numbering, Others...

According to the software in the Adonix technology used, there can be a control on the unit type. For example, in Adonix X3, only the units of the type Packing can be used as units in the stock entry, in addition to the normal stock units for the product (which is not subject to any limit).

• Symbol (field UOMSYM)

Used to associate a symbol that can be used in the reports, when the unit of measure normally uses one.

• Short description (field UOMSHO)

Define a short title associated with the unit. This title can be translated into other languages.
