Tab Available stock

Presentation

Two sets of information are displayed in this section:

  • The current stock when launching the inquiry (not considering the entered reference date). Information related to the current stock is split into two blocks:
    • Current stock: includes the physical stock, stock pending putaway, stock on loan and subcontractor stock.
    • Detail stock situation: stock per status (or situation).
  • The Available stock on the entered reference date. The available stock is displayed according to the periodicity and entered selection criteria. Requirements are displayed in red (they include SOF firm customer orders and MWP planned material requirements). Resources are displayed in black (they include POF firm purchase orders and WOF work orders). Positive and negative signs are not displayed.
    • The Available stock does not include future requirements to come.
    • The Stock available to promise corresponds to the smallest stock quantity available for the relevant period. You can use these results to determine if you can make a commitment to a customer for a specific period. When a product has an expiration date, you can choose to consider the expiration date and the use-by date (UBD) to determine the stock available to promise by clicking Criteria in the action panel.
    • The Coverage displays the number of periods before the stock runs out.

Display

Display criteria:

- A screen code (optional) that makes reference to the set up inquiry screens. Notably these screens define the columns to be displayed in the inquiry grid.

All these criteria can be saved by the user under a code XXX by clicking on the "Memo" button. To re-display criteria saved under memo code YYY, click on button "Call" and enter YYY.

The criteria saved under the memo code STD will be pre-loaded when the user enters the function.

Click the Criteria action to access additional selection criteria:

Order type
Select the check boxes corresponding to the order types to consider in the projected stock calculations.

Suggestion filters
Select the suggestions to display in the projected stock calculations: MRP and/or MPS. By default, all suggestions are displayed.

You can control the starting stock levels by defining which stock is to be considered in the projected stock calculations. For example, you can exclude detailed allocations from the starting stock. Conversely, you can add stock in quality control and in transit to the starting stock.

You can also control the calculations by defining if product-site loss percentages and sales forecasts should be included.

Expiration considered
When the expiration date is managed for a product, specify if you consider it:

  • 'No': the expiration date is not considered. This is the default value.
  • 'Yes': the Expiration date is considered according to the entered reference date and the selected periodicity.
  • 'Yes with margin': the Use-by date (UBD) is considered according to the entered reference date and the selected periodicity.

Example

The 'Bread' product is managed in lots.

Reference date: July 8
Periodicity: Week

On July 8, the stock quantity is 22 units.

- Lot A: 12 units
- Lot B: 10 units

Expiration date of lot A: June 27
Expiration date of lot B: July 11

Use-by date (expiration warning range): 0.5 coefficient for a 10-day use-by period, that is 10 * 0.5 = 5 days before the expiration date

Use-by date of lot A: June 22
Use-by date of lot B: July 6
