This parameter is used with data collection devices such as handheld scanners or secure WiFi-connected terminals.

Use this parameter to check the issue of components to a work order using a data collection device and to optionally display warning messages where discrepancies occur. This parameter checks the following:

• The component being issued to a work order is expected for the work order. That is, the component being issued exists as a component of a product to be released on the work order, or is defined on a work order line.
• The quantity of a component being issued to a work order matches the quantity of the component that is expected for the work order line. That is, the outstanding quantity is not exceeded.

No - This is the default value for this parameter. No controls are required. Components can be issued to a work order using a data collection device without checks against the component being issued to the work order or the quantities being issued to the work order. No warnings will be displayed where discrepancies occur between the component expected or the expected component quantities. Discrepancies must be resolved using a function such as the Work order (GESMFG) or Material tracking plan (FUNBENCHM) function.

Yes, without block - Controls are required when issuing components to a work order using a data collection device. A warning must be displayed if a discrepancy is detected between a component, or the component quantity and a work order line. The component can still be issued to the work order if required.
