This parameter is used when recording production activity for a work order. This is referred to as "tracking".

When recording production activity for a work order against a specific operation, this parameter defines if the operation must be tracked in order, based on the routing defined for the work order.

No - This is the default value for this parameter. No controls are required. The operations required to manufacture a product can be tracked in any order. They do not have to be tracked in the order of the routing defined for the work order.

Yes, without block - The operations required to manufacture a product should be tracked in order, based on the routing defined for the work order. If, however, a previous operation has not been tracked, the previous operation will be skipped so that the tracking can be recorded.

Yes, with block - The operations required to manufacture a product must be tracked in order. Each operation defined by the route defined for the work order must be tracked in order, none can be skipped.

A work order must be at Firm status (Order status field (MFGSTA) in the Home section of the Work order function (GESMFG)) to track production activity for it.
