Installing the Syracuse Web Server

This document describes how to install the "Syracuse" Web server and how to create the configuration file in order to work with the MongoDB database and the Elasticsearch services.

Prerequisites

Before running the V12 web server installation, make sure that:

Running the "Syracuse" Web server installation

  1. Double-click the ".jar" file located in the SafeX3Syracuse directory of the DVD-ROM.
  2. Select the language for the installation procedure.
  3. Select:
  4. Enter the required information:
  5. Select the appropriate option.
    1. If you have already set up MongoDB, select Use already installed mongodb server and click Next.
      Enter the host name and the port number (including the full qualified domain name if you use an SSL connection).
      Select The server uses and accepts only SSL encrypted connections and enter the corresponding information, if applicable.
    2. If you still have to set up MongoDB, select Install a new mongodb service and click Next.
      Enter the appropriate information.

    Note: The Client certificate file and the Client private key file should only be entered if you manually installed the certificates.

  6. Enter the Elasticsearch server name, as well as the appropriate port number. The default port is 9200.
