Use this function to view the hierarchical links between positions in an organizational flow chart.

Presentation

The search criteria of the organizational flow chart are entered in this screen for:

  • an ID number,
  • a position,
  • a company,

SEEINFO Once these criteria have been validated, the result is displayed in the form of an organizational flow chart. It is also possible to display the result in a data grid.

Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Block number 2

Table

  • Hierarchical position (field PARENT)

 

  • Position (field KEYC)

 

  • Short description (field LIBSHORT)

  • Description (field DESLIB)

Standard title of the current record.

The ID number is the employee's unique identifier. It contains 1 to 15 characters.
It can be entered manually or left blank on creation. In which case it will be automatically incremented by a sequence number.

  • Name (field NOM)

 

  • Image (field IMG)

Employee

Use this button to display the main information linked to the careers and skills of the current employee.

By default, the following reports are associated to the function :

 ORGPOT : Position organisation chart

This can be changed by a different setup.

Specific Buttons

The following fields are present on the window opened through this button :

Use this button to return to the selection of search criteria of an organizational flow chart.

Error messages

In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :

The organizational chart can only represent a single hierarchy even if there are several.

The system warns that the search yields several hierarchies but only one can be displayed.

Position does not exist

The position linked to the entered ID number is not valid any longer because the employee's company does not match the company of the position any longer.

No position defined for this employee

The requested ID number is not assigned to any position.
