Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Block number 1

  • Question (field QSTNUM)

Questions can be used in the management of quality records, and they enable the entry of parameters (answers) in the quality control functions.

  • Description (field QLQDESAXX)

  • Short description (field QLQSHOAXX)

Type

  • Response type (field DEMASWTYP)

The answer type is used to introduce standardization to the entry of the answer parameters.
The answer can be: alphanumerical, numerical, date, yes/no
The answer type conditions the entry of the various elements of the answer.
If the answer type is "date" or "yes/no", the control type and off standard answer sections cannot be entered.
Furthermore, the control table, the range and the default answer must be of the same type (alphanumerical or numerical) as the answer type.

  • Control type (field DEMCTLTYP)

The control type can be:

  • No control: The answer is free entry.
  • List of values: The answer must exist in the control table mentioned below.
  • Range: The answer must fall between the start and end range entered below.

Definition

If the control type is "List of values", a control table must be provided to specify the possible answers to the question.

  • Start range (field STRVAL)

Value range of 20 alphanumerical characters.
If the control type for the answer is "range", the start and end ranges are used to locate the answer within this range.

  • End date (field ENDVAL)

Value range of 20 alphanumerical characters.
If the control type for the answer is "range", the start and end ranges are used to locate the answer within this range.

Answer

  • Non-standard response (field OSDASW)

If it is allowed to enter an out-of-standard answer, this means that:

  • the answer may not belong to the data of the control table.
  • the answer may not be included between the value range.

A locking type can then be introduced to underline a non-conformity with respect to the specifications.
If it is not authorized to enter an out-of-standard answer, only parameter values meeting the control type can be introduced. The choice of values is strict and imposed.

  • Blocking type (field LOKTYP)

Depending on the nature of the entered parameter (measurement, description, etc), entering an authorized off-standard answer can have consequences on the quality of the controlled product.

It is possible to block the lot or the work order, with several possibilities:

  • No blocking: The off-standard answer does not put into question the quality of the product and the parts are considered to be complying.
  • Statuses blocking: The off-standard answer reveals a product quality problem. The parts are considered to be non-complying.
  • New record: The off-standard answer does put into question the quality of the product(s). A new quality record needs to be completed.
  • Default response (field DEFASW)

The default answer is not compulsory, but if it is entered, it must have the same type as the answer type.
It loads by default the answers to the questions when entering the record.
