Carrier calculation

The launching of the calculation is carried out for the totality of the DO portfolio displayed on the screen; this is limited by the keying in of criteria accessible through the  button.

All the DO manage in expedition whose status is less than 9 (shipped, closed) can be selected. 

After the launching of the process through the  button, the information are displayed on the column New Carrier, New Mode, New Generic round, New Round N°.
The rounds to be created are characterized by a * and a sequential n°.

To confirm the assignments determined by Warehousing, select the displayed record either manually or by ‘Select all’ (click right on the mouse) then valid the action by the  button. Only the records that can be updated can be selected.

Assignment principle :

Depending on the setting of the sites table, the function tries to :
- initialize the carrier and the carriage mode of the selected DO.
- and to assign to an existing generic round
- and to assign the DO to an existing delivery round or to create if the case arise.

The algorithm is forced by the table of carrier criteria that for each DO it allows to determine if the criterion of determination of carrier information is the cost of transport of the DO, or the constraint of the delivery area or the constraint of transport in relation to the content of the DO. In the case when the 2 criteria are taken into account , the first criterion is the priority, the second is the cost.

The cost of transport of the DO is calculated in relation to the functionality of the simulation of the transport cost (function PINSIM).

Transport priorities criteria (function Carrier priorities GESCRO) :

The processing allows to search in this table that for the characteristics of the processed DO, there is a couple carrier, mode of the same characteristics :
- of geographical areas (to wit the country code, the post code, the city, the state or the delivery area),
- of physical capacities (to wit weight/volume/maximum length)
- of item criteria
- of forbidden dangerous matters.

All the DO whose desired delivery date and time is strictly inferior to the date and time of the launching of the process are considered by default as being late ; therefore the system tries to assign them to the first round already existing (the earliest possible delivery), or if there’s none, to create a round for the next passage day of the round. The system search in its own way to ship the earliest possible by taking into account the parameters Preparation delay, Delay before expected shipping, Delivery in advance.

The zone Delay before expected shipping(expressed in HH :MM) is used for the late DO so as to refine the assignment in relation to time.
Example : the DO should be shipped the D-day at 8 o’clock p.m ; and it is 5 o’clock p.m. if the delay is not positioned, the DO is assigned to the next delivery round, let’s say 5:30 p.m. If the delay is equal to 4 hours, the DO can only be assigned to a round whose date is  > the processing date + 4 hours.

The parameter Delivery in advance of the sites table allows also to anticipate the desired delivery date of the DO so as to assign it the earliest generic or delivery round.
If this parameter is filled in, for the DO that are not « late », the possible delivery date of the DO is considered as the real delivery date of the DO – the set delay. The research of a generic round or of a delivery round is carried out in this table.

The parameters Delay of preparation (expressed in hour) of the table of the generic round and the Delay of preparation of the table of carrier criteria allows to better determine the generic or delivery round  to be created or to be chosen to assign to DO.

That of the generic round is created when one creates a delivery round from a generic round, that of the table of carrier criteria is when one creates a non generic round.

The process is launched for all the DO inferior to 9. Depending on the status of the DO, the weight and the volume are calculated in different manner. For the DO in status 1 or 2, the  weight and  volume are calculated in relation to DO lines,  to the product of the requested quantity and the weight/volume of the item container specified on the DO line.

Beyond that, the weight and the volume will depend on the preparation mode of the DO, to wit packing or no packing.

Display of information :

After the launching of the process, and the calculation, the new carrier information are displayed on the column prefixed with « new. ».

For the creation of the rounds, the new round to be created are identified by an * followed by a sequence number.

According to the choice of the user, the records can be selected on the column Sel, it is therefore to save them.
