General parameters > Chapter Common Data > Parameter NCSDOCCRE (Non-conformance creation mode)

This parameter identifies the level at which an Sage X3 user is authorized to raise incidents of non-conformance.

'Basic' (default) - This user is authorized to raise 'basic' incidents of non-conformance from a document they are working on. 'Basic' simply means 'minimal details'.
When this user raises an incidence of non-conformance they will be presented with a simple (basic), 'quick create' entry screen containing a single field Description. The Description field will default to the current document type, the Document ID and the associated line number. They can amend the default description or instantly create a non-conformance incident from the default description.
The non-conformance will be raised at status 'New' with default values and minimal details from the original document; this user will be returned to their document.

'Full' - This user is authorized to raise detailed incidents of non-conformance. They have the skills to observe whether quality processes and standards in making a product or system fit for purpose have failed, or to observe the potential for a nonconformity to occur. They can raise incidents of non-conformance, in full.
When raising an incidence of non-conformance this user will be taken directly to the Non-conformances (GESNCSH) function. Many fields will be populated with default values. They can amend any default values and add their observations and details of the 'specification deviation', or failure or potential failure in the design or production model, or process.
As for the value 'Basic', the non-conformance will be raised at status 'New' with details from the original document included; this user will be returned to their document when they exit the Non-conformances function (using the Close action).

Level of localization/Global variable

This parameter is defined at the level User.It belongs to Chapter TC (Common Data) and the Group NCS (Non-conformance),The following parameters are also associated with this chapter and group :

No global variable is associated with it.

Activity codes

Comments

'Full' mode should only be set for more advanced users. These are those users that have the skills to gather critical information, including 'in-flight' (cold call) information, to provide sufficient details for a non-conformity to support investigations into the root cause, or failure.
