- heavy product, bulky product, hazardous product or any other characteristic of a product.
A priority assignment class can be defined for each location. This concept is also linked to the item containers. Based on a similar process to that used for the ABC classes, the system tries to match the class of the location and the class of the product container when it searches for a location.
For example: Levels '0' and '1' of a pallet rack, especially adapted for the storage of heavy items, are assigned to class L. The heavier products (in Kg per pallet, for example) will also be assigned to class L.
The assignment class represents one of the 5 common criteria to products and locations allowing optimization when putting products away in Warehousing.
The other criteria are: Store, ABC class, Container, Depositor
Finally, the sequencing of classes is used to specify to the system the order in which the classes must be scanned. The authorized use of the sequencing rules is dependent on the setup of the input mode.
Note: The sequencing rule can only be defined after the corresponding classes have been created. Then the system will check that the entered values do exist.
Refer to documentation Implementation
The class is defined, then the chained classes are entered in a table.
Presentation
To create an assignment class, a code is assigned to it. This code identifies the class in a unique way with 1 character and a title. This information is located in the management screen header, followed by a table dedicated to the sequencing of the assignment classes.

Fields
The following fields are present on this tab :
Block number 1
For each location, a priority assignment class is defined. It usually takes into account the caracteristics of the products that will be stored on said location: Lightweight product, heavy product, hazardous material, etc.

Select this check box to activate the current record. Disabled records keep their content and setup but cannot be used (by recalling their code) on other records (documents, settings ...), or for mass processes. The authorizations to a given function can prohibit the creation of an active record. In this case, the check box is disabled by default. It can only be modified by an authorized user or through a signature Workflow.

In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :
Class, the master value cannot belong to the sequencing.
The master class cannot be included of the sequencing.
Code already exists on line N
The same assignment class has been entered twice on two different lines in the table.
