This screen is used to create, display, modify and delete an inventory class. A code is assigned to each product relating to the management rules of counts.

The list of Classes is identified by an alphanumeric code, made of one character and two associated titles, long and short.

The number of inventory classes and related codes is completely free.

    Screen management

    In order to create an inventory class, a code is assigned to the class to identify it in a unique manner with 1 alphanumerical character.

    Finally, a title and a short title can be entered.

    • Number of counts: Number of counts to be carried out for a product within this class inside an inventory campaign.
    • Minimum number of days between counts: Minimum number of days required between two count requests. This gap is expressed in a number of days.

    The following fields are present on this tab :

    Grid

    Code associated with each product and representing the management rules relating to the inventory.

    • Description (field SCCDESAXX)

     

    • Short description (field SCCSHOAXX)

     

    • No. stock counts (field SKCNBR)

    Number of counts to be carried out for a product within this class inside an inventory campaign.

    • Min no. days btw. stock counts (field SKCGAP)

    Minimum time (in number of days) required between 2 inventory proposals.

    Error messages

    In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :

    Code already exists on line N

    The same inventory class has been entered twice on two different lines in the grid.

    Count number error, compulsory field.

    The count number is a mandatory field.
