The pyramid can be built from the graphical representation function.
Refer to documentation Implementation
For each accounts, as many dimension pyramids as required may be defined.
Level 10 | Level 20 | Level 30 | Elementary accounts |
Margin |
|
|
|
| Other Costs |
| 708* |
| Raw margin |
| |
|
| Overhead costs | 713327 |
|
| Machine costs | 713322 |
|
| Material costs | 713321 |
|
| Labor costs | 713326 |
|
| Sub-contracting costs | 713325 |
| Sales price | 701* | |
| Discount | 709* |
The most comprehensive level concerns the global margin (level 10).
The "Margin" group is comprised of the "Raw margin", "Sales price", "Discount" and "Other costs" groups (level 20).
The "Raw margin" group is itself composed of the "Labor", "Machine", "Material" etc. production costs (level 30).
The 99 "virtual" level is comprised of the elementary accounts.
Each group is defined by the list of the sub-groups belonging to it, and/or possibly of the elementary accounts that are directly attached to it.
If a given level of the pyramid is not comprehensive, the reports obtained for this level are only partial. The type of analysis can still have a meaning, if only some sections of the analysis need to be further specified.
Example:
Sub-level 30 only exists for the 'Raw margin' group.Reports for level 30 will not consider the contribution of the other accounts.
When an allocation is not mandatory on a dimension type, the groupings do not account for the missing account. This configuration corresponds to a voluntary choice by the user to exclude certain operations from the scope of analysis.
Fields
The following fields are present on this tab :
Block number 1
| Pyramid which the group belongs to. The modification of the pyramid for a group is impossible if:
|
| This field recalls the chart of accounts on which the account or the pyramid (general, analytical, both) will be created or to which they will be attached. |
| Code identifying a group of accounts A group can be comprised of sub-groups and/or accounts. |
| It is a title field. By default the short title, the long title or the column header of a data are recorded (on creation/update) in the connection language of the user.
A user who logs on with this language will view the short description, long description or column header in their connection language if a translation exists. Otherwise, these descriptions will be available in the folder language.
|
| This field indicate the parent group code from which the account group comes from. If this field is not entered, the group is a first level group. |
|   |
Identification
| Title used in some screens or reports when there is not enough space to view the long title. By default the short title, the long title or the column header of a data are recorded (on creation/update) in the connection language of the user.
A user who logs on with this language will view the short description, long description or column header in their connection language if a translation exists. Otherwise, these descriptions will be available in the folder language.
|
| Classification of the group accounts. |
| Description linked to the Classification field name. |
Management
| It is possible to keep the analytical and budget accounts in quantities. If the alytical tracking of quantities is selected, each account group can be associated with a unit as well as a default quantity. |
| Non-financial unit in which the quantity entered for this account group will be expressed. |
| The standard value indicated here makes it possible to pre-initialize the quantity according to the amount. |
  |
| If this box is checked, the group of accounts can be used in the different existing budgets. |
| The allocation key is used to define the allocation conditions of the annual budget, by assigning a weighing coeffcient to each month (refer to the Allocation documentation). |
Position
| Definition level of a group of accounts or a group of dimensions. |
| Printing order of the groups of a same level. |
Grid Subgroups
| Account sub-group contained in the account group. |
| Title of the sub-group. |
Grid Accounts
| Specify the account code. |
| Account title. |

By default, the following reports are associated with this function :
GLGRP : GL journal account details
GLGRPDEV : General ledger/currency
PLAN : Chart
This can be changed using a different setup.
This function is used to create a new pyramid based on an existing pyramid.
This function is inhibited within the framework of operating budgets (dimensions coming from entities or envelopes) for the dimension groups.
Presentation
This function is used to automatically generate a pyramid for a given chart of accounts. For each level of the pyramid, the length of the groups of accounts will be specified.

Fields
The following fields are present on this tab :
Block number 1
| Code of the pyramid to be generated. It has probably already been created. |
| This field recalls the chart of accounts on which the account or the pyramid (general, analytical, both) will be created or to which they will be attached. |
Grid Details
| The numerical value entered in the various available fields makes it possible to establish a hierarchy of groups present in the pyramid. |
| The numerical value entered in the various available fields is used to indicate the number of character(s) for each level of the pyramid. |
Block number 3
| When checked, this box is used to include any new account or dimension to the defined group.
Example: |
| When checked, this box is used to plan the insertion of groups on a same level when they have different length so that each branch of the generated pyramid has the same number of levels. |

This function is used to check that all the accounts from the ledger are referenced.
In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :
Group of accounts: xxxxxx Record does not exist
The group of accounts has not been created for the selected pyramid.
Grouped in <parent group> > 10
The definition level of the sub group that has been entered must be strictly greater than the definition level of the parent group to which it is attached. For instance, greater than10.
Code already exists on line no. ##
The subgroup or group that has been entered on line no. ## has already been entered on line no. ##.
