This function is used to manage the material types of the current folder.

There are 3 main material type categories:

  • Those of "IT" nature only characterizing the materials used to log on to the application, such as the radio-frequency terminals, laptops, etc.
  • Those of "Handling" nature only characterizing the materials used to handle stock, such as fork lofts, etc.
  • Those of an "IT" and "Handling" nature grouping the 2 functionalities, for instance, embedded terminals, etc.

A type of material identifies a set of materials that can, for a given site:

    Screen management

    The function designed to manage the types of materials contains one single grid to create, modify and delete types of materials.

    Fields

    The following fields are present on this tab :

    Grid

    Code identifying the type of material (defined by site).

    A material type identifies a set of materials likely on any given site to be used for the same types of missions, within the same mission areas (for handling materials) and to be used by the same types of resources.

    • Description (field MTTDESAXX)

     

    • Short description (field MTTSHOAXX)

     

    • IT (field TYP2)

    Specifies if the material type is "IT".

    • Handling (field TYP1)

    Specifies if the material type is "Handling".

    • Management by the unit (field MGTUNT)

    Specifies whether the type of material is based on unit management or not.

    • It it is checked, the materials of this type will be unit-managed. It means that the material can only be used by one resource at a time.
    • It not checked, the materials of this type will not be unit-managed. It means that only one material of this type can be created. But this material can be used by several resources in the same time.

    SEEWARNING In the case of non unitary management, GEODE will not be able to follow the material position on the site in real time.
